"Ottavius" 4/4 violin
Built by Ernst Kruger

"The name "Ottavius" is derived from the fact that it is the 8th violin I've built. It has this classical name which blends with the darker shade of the finish."
"The backplate, neck, and sides are traditionally made of Maple, but the top plate is made from "Obeche" and because of its vibration quality produces a good and powerful sound."
'"Obeche" is used by both Gibson and Japan's fender for making excellent limited edition guitars. It is a wood that vibrates readily and thus responds well. It is noted for its sound projection."
"A good buy!"
